At a quick glance of the imagery from the film one doesn't get the impression that it's a must see, but with the knowledge that it has become a critical success in it's own country, one would easily determine that something worthy is afoot. It's the concluding film in Per's study on social classes after Bænken (The Bench) & Arven (The Inheritance). It was recently nominated for 14 Roberts (Danish Academy Awards) & should be a fitting reward for an ambitious study on contemporary Danish life. Another Zentropa (Lars Von Trier, created Dogma) production. The craggy faced stalwart & highly respected Jesper Christensen makes his 3rd appearance in the trilogy, while Charlotte Fich from the tv cop show Rejseholdet plays his estranged wife.
